CARBON GRAPHICS AND MY3D ANNOUNCE THE SHAPEFILE IMPORTER PLUGIN FOR GEO

CENTREVILLE, Virginia and PARK CITY, Utah, September 10, 2004 -- Carbon Graphics LLC and My3D LLC are pleased to announce the immediate availability of Geo Shapefile Importer, a plugin dedicated to the import of existing GIS data stored in ESRI® Shapefile format.

The Geo Shapefile Importer, developed by My3D LLC, provides an easy, robust mechanism for importing ESRI Shapefiles into Geo PRO - the premiere 3D Modeling and Animation package for Visual Simulation. This plugin imports any Shapefile geometry directly into the modeling environment. The imported data can then be processed and modified by Geo's built-in scene-graph manipulation tools (e.g. extrusion, texture mapping, external reference placement etc.).

Andy Bushnell, Carbon Graphics' President stated: "We are very excited about the new Shapefile Importer plugin for Geo. It opens up a tremendous amount of existing data that can now be loaded and enhanced for real-time visualization within Geo".

Matthew Fadoul of My3D added, "Carbon Graphic's Geo tool provides a powerful capability for 3D database development. My3D is proud to be part of Geo's growing number of third-party application developers."
